Litter Clean-up Nimisila Reservoir and Recreation Area Christman Road, south of Caston Road, Green Join us (rain or shine) as we clean up an area of the Portage Lakes that desperately needs it. Help pick up various types of litter, starting at the first parking lot on Christman Road, south of Caston Road. This is a messy task, and we need all the help we can get. Bring work gloves, a change of dry shoes and socks, snacks and water. Volunteers younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants are entitled to a pizza lunch. Water Monitors Meeting Coventry Town Hall 68 Portage Lakes Drive, Coventry Portage Lakes Advisory Council promotes involvement of citizens in the local Tuscarawas River Watershed through its water monitoring efforts. Water monitors become watershed stewards, collecting data that assists in the documentation the Portage Lake’s water quality. This program assists NEFCO assessment efforts by giving data on the lakes and even privately owned bodies of water. Meeting open to registered monitors only. Saturday, July 3, 2010, 7 – 10 p.m. 
Portage Lakes Advisory Council will be selling glow necklaces, pop, chips and pretzels to the audience that gathers to watch the fireworks from Portage Lakes State Park beach. Funds for the sale will support the scholarship fund.
